About this service
Updated October 2026
Perth Hills Retaining Walls is a local referral service for the Perth Hills, Western Australia. It does one thing: when you need retaining wall work, it puts you in touch with one of the experienced, insured local retaining wall builders who works your suburb.
Where we cover
Four local governments, and we say four because that is a real feature of this place. The Shire of Mundaring and the City of Kalamunda in full, plus the hills and scarp parts of the City of Swan and the City of Armadale. Forty localities, from Bellevue and Midvale on the plain up through Kalamunda, Lesmurdie and Darlington to the orchard country at Carmel and Pickering Brook and out to Chidlow, Wooroloo and Gidgegannup.
We do not claim Serpentine Jarrahdale, and we do not claim the Swan Valley floor. Jarrahdale is about 50 kilometres south of Mundaring and the Swan Valley is not the Hills. A service area that stretched to cover both would be a lead farm, not a local service.
How it works
You send the quote form with your suburb and what you need. Your details go to a local builder who services your area, and they call you back with a price. Quotes are free, there is no obligation, and you deal with them directly from there.
The fine print, plainly
Perth Hills Retaining Walls is not a trade business and does not carry out the work itself. Jobs are referred to independent local contractors, licensed or registered where the work requires it. Which registrations and licences a particular job calls for in WA turns on how the work is classified under the building legislation, so it is a question for your permit authority and for the builder rather than one to answer from a web page. Whatever the job, ask for the registration or licence number and check it with Building and Energy.
Price ranges published on this site are a guide drawn from published Australian cost guides, and the contractor's own written quote is the price that counts.
